C83600 Leaded Red Brass Solid Bars (SAE 40)

Atlas Bronze offers C83600 Leaded Red Brass bars, SAE 40 in several sizes and shapes. C83600 Solid Bar stock per ASTM B505, the most common red brass, is also called 85 metal or 85-5-5-5. It contains 85% copper and 5% each of tin, lead and zinc. Typical uses for red brass are for low-pressure valves, pump housings, impellers and fittings.

C83600 Solid Bar per ASTM B505 (Continuous Cast Bronze) stock is available in both Standard Sizes (see below) and as special Made to Order Mill Run depending on the total quantity that your project requires.

C83600 TYPICALLY USED FOR:

SAE 40 is used in a variety of applications. Typical uses for this alloy are: valves, flanges, pipe fittings, plumbing goods, pump castings, water pump impellers and housings, ornamental fixtures small gears.
