We
are both manufacturers and distributors of Bronze Bushings and Custom
Bronze Bearings. Our manufacturing processes include turning, boring,
broaching, grooving, facing, milling, drilling, grinding and
de-burring. Our standard lines of Bronze Bushings and Bronze Sleeve
Bearings are found in stock in a wide variety of sizes & shapes.
We
stock thousands of Cast Bronze Sleeve Bearings, Sintered Bronze Sleeve
Bushings, Flange Bushings, Thrust Bushings and more. Our standard lines
of Bronze Bushings are stocked both with internal grease grooves and
without grooves.
When
quotations are made for Bushings that are "Machined to Print" or "Made
from Sample" parts, we welcome drawings in a number of formats, such as;
Adobe .pdf, Microsoft Word, Koday .jpeg's and CAD file to meet our
customers needs.
CAST BRONZE BUSHINGS
Cast
bronze bearings are machined from continuous cast C93200 (SAE 660)
bronze for superior quality and performance. The continuous casting
process assures a uniform bronze structure throughout the bearing, free
from porosity and hard particle inclusions commonly found in other cast
processes. Our standard bearing line features over 1,000 sizes that are
carried in stock. These standards provide off-the-shelf economy for most
applications, and may be easily resized, oil grooved, or graphited to
meet special requirements.

OIL / GREASED GROOVED BEARINGS
We offer Grooving & Grease grooving. We will cut standard loops, straight, or figure eight lubrication grooves. Any
of our standard stock sizes of sleeve type bronze bearings are
adaptable to grooving. You select your desired size and we add the
lubricant of your choice. Unless otherwise specified , the width &
depth of the oil grooves will be proportional to the wall thickness and
size of the bearing, contained within the bearing. Additionally, we specialize in cutting custom groove patterns! Just send over your pattern and chances are we can cut it!
Any
of our standard stock sizes of sleeve type bronze bearings are
adaptable to graphiting. There are various styles of graphiting
available, however we specialize in custom cuttin!. Graphite is
mechanically forced into the groove under extreme pressure. A film of
lubricant is transferred to the shaft as it begins to turn.
The
depth and width of the groove depend upon the wall thickness, bearing
diameter and other factors that may vary with the individual
application.

NOTE:
These bearings are free reaming and should be ordered or reamed at
assembly. So, the I.D. is from .001 to .002" greater than would be
needed if an ungraphited bearing were being used.
